A Day on the Boat

Last Saturday we were invited to go out on the boat with Grandma and Grandpa Black. Seeing as this was Sophia’s first adventure on the high seas, Grandpa was gracious enough to let Sophia assist in navigating the vessel.

A good time was had by all, despite the fact that Sophia didn’t seem to care for her life vest or the water. Here are some pictures from the expedition.

Sitting Up

Sophia has been able to sit up on her own for a little while, but it hadn’t occurred to me until recently to photographically document this phenomenon, so here ya go:

I’ve also added a few more pictures to the July 2009 photo gallery.

Jumperoo!

Here is a shot of Sophia in her Jumperoo.

She’s big enough to touch the floor on the lowest setting, and she really likes to bounce. Now that she’s more interested in interacting with her surroundings, the Jumperoo seems to be more popular than her swing.¬† I’ve added some more pictures to the July 2009 photo gallery.

Sophia in Her Crib

Here is Sophia sitting up in her crib, supporting herself on the guardrail.

At night she still sleeps in her Pack ‘n Play in mommy and daddy’s room, but she occasionally takes naps in the crib. The plan is to get her on solid food and sleeping through the night before she is permanently relocated to her own room. We’ll see how that goes. I’ve added more pictures to the July 2009 photo gallery.

Crash-a-Rama!

On July 3rd, a truly legendary fellowship was formed. This brave fellowship consisted of myself, Thijson, Jed, and Mike. Our quest? We were to travel to Bithlo, FL to experience the awesome redneck spectacle that is Crash-a-Rama. The verdict? It’s probably the best $20 that you could ever spend, despite the fact that a perfectly good camper trailer was left (relatively) intact at the end of the evening. Below is some video footage recorded I recorded.
